As the "Earthly Nebula" series progressed, my creative process continued to evolve. "Light Source" is a particularly meaningful piece to me as it represents the power of imagination and the ability to manifest reality. The lion symbolizes strength and courage, while the stairs and waves represent the challenges and opportunities we encounter in life. The people emerging from the light source remind us that we are all connected and that our actions can have a ripple effect. Like much of my work, "Light Source" is not meant to be easily digestible. The image of the lion devouring the light source can be interpreted in many ways. For me, it speaks to the importance of confronting our fears and obstacles head-on, even when they seem insurmountable. It also highlights the value of allowing our subconscious to appear, even if it makes us uncomfortable. In creating this piece, I utilized a variety of mixed media techniques, including spray paint, chalk, ink, pencils, and crayons. The combination of these materials allowed me to explore texture and depth, adding to the overall vibrancy of the image. Through "Light Source," I aim to encourage viewers to embrace their own creativity and imagination, and to find strength in the face of adversity.
