In my series of printmaking works, I aimed to explore the relationship between color and emotion. The artwork titled "Red" is a prime example of this exploration. Using a lino block, I manipulated it by cutting and scraping it against various surfaces, including the ground and walls of my studio. This process allowed me to express my emotions and release my energy onto the block.

The resulting physical marks on the block were then translated into the abstract qualities of the final print, giving it a sense of motion and intensity. I chose red as the dominant color for this artwork as it is often associated with passion, love, and anger - all strong and powerful emotions.

Through my art, I aim to convey the interconnectedness of color and emotion. Colors have the ability to evoke strong feelings and emotions within us, and I hope to encourage viewers to reflect on their own emotional responses to color.

In a way, creating the "Red" print was a cathartic experience for me, allowing me to release my energy and emotions onto the block. As the color of knowledge, black represents the depth and complexity of human emotions and the role they play in our lives.
