In my printmaking series, I sought to explore the interplay between our environment and emotions. The artwork titled "Yellow" embodies this exploration. Using a lino block, I manipulated it by bending and scratching it against the surfaces of my surroundings. This process allowed me to immerse myself in the present moment, and the physical marks on the block captured the energy of my surroundings.

The final print is dominated by the bright and warm colour of yellow, which represents the energy, enthusiasm, and joy that comes with being fully present in the moment. The abstract textures of the print convey the unpredictability and ever-changing nature of our environment.

Through my artwork, I aim to highlight the interconnectedness of our surroundings and our emotional states, inviting viewers to reflect on their own relationship with the world around them. By showcasing the beauty and complexity of our environment, I hope to inspire a deeper sense of appreciation and respect for our surroundings, and an increased mindfulness in our everyday lives.
